I own Navionics, Lake Master and Lake Trax Pro mapping products for my Lowrance GPS units. I have compared the products on a variety of lakes. All three products are good and each provide some subtle differences in their maps. However, when you add the additional features that Lake Trax Pro provides including using your PC for pre and post fishing work, printing of maps, and NMEA capabilities allowing use of a laptop with real-time navigation, there is a clear favorite. If I only had the money to buy one product, it would be Lake Trax Pro. The price and features make it the clear choice.

This program is awesome! I love it. The Ottertail map accuracy is really great. I'm amazed!

I can attest to the quality of Kirsch's product. I was quite impressed with the system. I think the software is extremely useful for fishing a body of water that you've never fished before. Call Kirsch before you go, get an electronic map of the place, and upload likely spots to the GPS before you head out there. For the money, it's a good buy- a product that's as good as Lakemaster but has the added benefit of being usable on about 100 times as many lakes as Lakemaster offers info on, at a cheaper price.

I used the software quite a bit over my Christmas vacation. I used it to place my house on Pelican Lake. I have pulled several walleye out with the largest being a 4 1/2 pound walleye. On Friday, January 2, I programmed my GPS with spots on Ottertail Lake. I have never fished this lake before. >After picking up some bait and talking with the locals I picked which spot that might produce fish. I went at 1:15pm. After punching some holes I set my kids up. They immediately started catching Perch. We stayed out until 3:30PM. We kept 9 Perch ranging from 3/4-1LB and right >at 3:30 we caught two walleye's, 1-14 inch and 1-19 inch. I could not stay out any longer but it would have been nice to see how many more walleye's we could have pulled out by sundown. I have never fished Ottertail until that day. I firmly believe that the success we had was achieved by using your software. I am spreading the word about your website and your software.

It was early ice on one of my favorites lake in NE SD. I had Kirsch do a GPS map for me of this lake because I fish it a lot. I got the map 2 days before heading out to this lake. I marked some of the structure from the map in my handheld and I was off.
As I am heading out in the dark to a sunken island in the middle of the lake on 8 inches of ice I thought I better pull out my GPS to get the satellites and check my course. My satellites come in as my wife and I are walking and I notice I am getting close to a point that I pulled off Kirsch's map that I know is usually thin ice. So as we walk I notice I am very close to this Danger Point, so I stop and listen and I can hear waves. I dig out my flashlight and sure enough, 10 ft in front of me is wide open water. The wind was blowing about 30 MPH (which is always does out there) so there is no way I could hear that water while walking. I would have walked right into it I am sure. It was dark enough and my wife was behind me and she still doesn't know about that. So, yes, I probably owe my life or at least avoiding a lot of trouble to Kirsch's maps.
Never met Kirsch but I guess I owe him a big thanks.
